Nifty Run by Lache Seastrunk

All these photos are from one play. It shows what Seastrunk brings to the Baylor offense. You can click on any of the images to see the photos larger in a single gallery.
In the first photo, Ben Goodman, 93 for the Jayhawks appears to have position to stop Seastrunk for a loss.

Seastrunk stops in photo 2 and cuts back under Goodman.

In photo 3, Goodman dives at him and misses, ending up on the ground in photo 4.

In photo 5, #31, Ben Heeney, attempts to tackle Seastrunk (note 93 on the ground.)

In photo 6, Seastrunk cuts right as Heeney tries to get a grip on his left arm.

In photo 7, Seastrunk has let his left arm go limp, and Heeney loses his grip, hitting the ground.

In photo 8, Seastrunk continues his run, having left two tacklers with good position on their backs in the space of five yards.

Notice the balance and how low he gets to the ground. In photo 2, his whole body is below 93′s waist, and he still has perfect balance. The Jayhawks lost him in the backfield a lot.

Every game, I take photos of things besides the plays. Most of the magazines and other organizations that use my photos are mostly interested in sports portraits and action images. While I enjoy doing those, my background is in Fine Art, and I’ve always thought that an image should tell a story.

I still have fun at the games. Some of the photographers seem a little bored to be there, but for me, cruising the sidelines with the best seat in the house is a little piece of heaven.

Enjoy the photos.
